This Privacy Policy explains how Rasumi (“Rasumi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards information in connection with the Rasumi resume-building application and related website (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to information processed through the Service. It does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services that we do not own or control, including any services you reach through links from the Service.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Resume content

The resume documents you create, edit, and preview are stored securely on our servers and associated with your account, so they are available to you on any device where you sign in. We process this content solely to provide the editing, preview, and export features of the Service. You can delete a resume at any time from within the Service, and you are responsible for exporting and retaining any copies you wish to keep.

2.2 Account and authentication data

If you choose to sign in, authentication is performed through Google via our authentication provider, Supabase. In connection with sign-in we process basic account identifiers made available by Google, such as your email address and name, in order to create and maintain your account and to authenticate your sessions. We do not receive your Google password.

2.3 Technical and log data

Like most online services, our infrastructure and authentication providers may automatically process limited technical data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps, for the purposes of operating, securing, and maintaining the Service.

3. How We Use Information

We process information for the following purposes:

• to provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• to authenticate users and secure accounts;
• to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues; and
• to comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume content for advertising.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where required by applicable law, we process personal data on the basis of one or more of the following: your consent; the performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Third-Party Processors

We rely on third-party service providers to operate the Service, including Google (authentication) and Supabase (authentication and backend infrastructure). These providers process data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers.

6. Data Retention

Resume content is retained on our servers until you delete it or your account is closed. Account and authentication records are retained for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the Service. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can remove resume content at any time by deleting it within the Service. To make a request regarding your account data, contact us using the details in the “Contact” section below.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. International Users

The Service may be operated from, and information may be processed in, jurisdictions other than your own. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in those jurisdictions.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
